Yes this car appears super nice and more of a survivor than 95% of the other cars listed with that title.

I asked owner if ever repainted. He said yes but only 1 time. You can only be original once. I don't call a repainted car a original survivor. :shruggy:

Agreed! Though not attacking the car, a 'true' survivor by definition CANNOT display a 100% total re-paint.  :rotz:

70 sublime

If you think about it are not all our cars survivors ?
They are still around to be looked at compared to the ones that are gone forever
Wonder how many are left ?
10 % ??

I think 100% original is what the term should be if a car is factory untouched which this one is not either because of the repaint
Did something happen to it to cause it to need new paint ?
Still a very nice car

I think something did happen. With that rounded off body line on Passenger side rear quarter I'd guess it's full of Bondo, Maybe because it was hit. Maybe that's why the repaint. With out seeing in person just Speculation though. I does seem odd he only shows the whole quarter panel on the good side, the drivers side. But doesn't show the whole quarter panel on passenger side, the apparent bad side. Just a coincidence? Or does owner have something to hide :scratchchin: :shruggy:

An se without a/c must be somewhat rare. .trunk mat looks to be one of those rubber ones whereas you would think the original would still be there. I wonder if there has been some restoration done with the intent to make it look like a survivor low mile car? Still nice car anyhow
I thought the same thing regarding the no A/C, I guess the original owner had his reasons for not adding A/C. Maybe adding it would have put him over his financial limit at the time.  :shruggy:

Since the rest of the car appears so clean, I'm surprised there isn't a shot of the trunk floor under the mat.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

As of this post, $45,000 and reserve has been met.

So, what is every body's opinion (and you know what they say about opinions) on:

- What the high bid will be

- What the car's price should be in the current market.

Again, opinions, no right or wrong...

It's already passed my valuation opinion at $38K to $44K  :shruggy:
Don't get me wrong here... FINE example !
just saying,
based on the Right Rear 1/4 panel bondo/repair ? factory color and the repaint ?  IMO, I can't give this 1970 383-2BBL SE Car marks above the aforementioned $44K tops.
That said,
I think someone will easily bid it up to $48-$50K

I feel it's hit the top of the market and should end very close to this mark...time will tell!  ::)

I Think top price should be $25k in my opinion. It's far surpassed what it's worth. LEON.

JB400

Over $46k now.  It's deep into R/T territory.

Chad L. Magee

My guess is that it will break into the $50K territory before the bidding is done....

Its "worth" is whatever some will pay for it, doesn't matter what some book, price guide, "professional" or keyboard cowboy says its worth if no one is willing to put up the cash.....

your right, but being a keyboard cowboy I wasn't saying what it was worth but what I'd be willing to pay. LEON.

ACUDANUT

Ugly color for sure. Very nice condition though. So, what did it bring ?

Alaskan_TA

Bidding was over 46K before the auction was cancelled, someone may have made the owner an offer they could not refuse?

Gorgeous color combination, I hope it has found a good home.

Kern Dog

The color sure does NOT scream high performance but it does look classy.

Alaskan_TA

Are there horse power & torque ratings for colors?

Nope.

Multiple colors were offered to appeal to a larger group audience to allow for personal taste.

A collection of one it every color made would be epic, regardless of transmission type or CID.

With the right accoutrements, even  that colour can become palatable....

"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."  in other words probably means the shill bidding jacked the price up and there was no real buyer.
