Haven't driven it all Summer because my personal life is now a trainwreck.  But...nice and cool today (well, cooler) and he's been asking about it so today was it.  Totally different car-line and a whole new world for him. He seemed pleased.

Awesome!  I look forward to doing that soon when my son moves up to high school.   :2thumbs:

Good for you! Adding A/C to mine last year was priceless for here in Florida.  :2thumbs:

Please share your A/C addition. Did you cut dash for vents? Any before/after pics? Buddy considering A/C in a 68. On a sir note he's looking for a center console also. None in car now.

Thanks

Sorry "laptop crash" cost all pics. I used Classic Auto Air, they were great to deal with. My car had A/C but nothing under the hood was left. (Including the engine.) They made a kit for me that adapted non A/C and has A/C parts. Others here sear by Vintage Air also. (Start a new topic and others will chime in.)

Just a couple of thoughts on adding AC to a non-AC car.   If you go with a after market system, then the big visible diff is the dash vents.  I have a non-AC dash.  I just cut the sides to hold the side vents.  If you look at the center dash pad from the back, it looks, speciously like they took the sheet metal and just covered the center dash vent.  I bet you could re-pad it to hold a center vent.  Then all you have to do is figure the invisible stuff. Easy, right !!

Here's my thread where I cut my dash.  I just don't want those vent things hanging under the dash.
