Need info for 69 charger windshield & read window moulding install.
Are there supposed to be rivets in the body to connect the clips to??????

The trim clips use screws that have a dab of sealant on the threads to keep them from leaking.  If you haven't found this thread yet, it has lots of info on trim and fasteners.

Here is one source for the screws, you can see the sealant on the threads.  Why they say wheel well screws, I don't know but the windshield screws look the same.
