engine wont idle

My 73 charger wont idle. It will start and will run so long as you keep reving it. We checked the timing and the car runs better when it is not in the right spot. Also tried messing around with the idle, but nothing. I have no idea how to fix this.

Could be a lot of things but my bet is the Carb idle circuit. My sons 74 318/ 2 barrel did the same thing I changed carbs and was fine.
Check for vacumm leaks very carefully that is the cheap thing to check first.
