Help finding these Chargers

I'm wondering if maybe one or more of you could help me out? Back in the mid seventies a buddy of mine had 2 Chargers. One was a 69 HEMI, medium metallic green with a black vinyl roof and interior. It was not a street car. I believe it had a lenco linkage and a built to the hilt HEMI. The other was a white 70 Charger rt/se that was a 440 6 pack. The 6 pack was pulled when the engine was built and a dual quad tunnel ram installed. It had a flat black fiberglass Mopar pro stock style lift off hood. The unique feature on this was he added red lights in the side scoops that lit up the side of the car that came on when the lights were on. He sold them when he got married in 77. I saw the white charger at Great Lakes dragway in Union Grove Wi. In about 81 or so. I recognized it by those red light lenses in the scoops. The guy had added a black bumble bee stripe to it. I never saw the green one again. We lived in northeastern Illinois. Just hoping one of you charger gurus might know anything about these 2 lost gems. I'd just like to know if they've survived. I'm sure Dave kicks himself every time he thinks about it. Thanks in advance and take care, Howard!

By chance, did the green car have a no original wheels and some rust scale in the trunk & on the 70, was the right front side marker light not working and a tear in the driver's seat bottom? If so, I think I remember them both 40+ years ago..

Wow , great memory ! I can remember a red 68 Hemi Charger floating around Ct in the late 80's-90's  , first one I have ever seen in person and thought , WOW !!! Until I noticed it had a color change from green and thought , who could do such a thing to a beautiful orig color ?

Demonram, don't take offense.  This forum is full of members who love to be dickheads to new people.   I think it's reasonable to ask if people remember a green HEMI 69 and a white V-CODE 70 in a certain area around a certain time.

Sounds like that this person was clearly out of their mind back then.

Bull shit. It's just a couple of (fbbo) trolls that use this forum to be dickheads.
The o.p. started the same topic on fbbo where dickhead/Richard cranium/myturbinsdirty is a member also, and he didn't reply over there.

He is probably out in his garage right now painting the green one he has now, red with a roller!

Sorry if I offended anyone. I am serious about looking for these cars. I honestly thought we mopar guys were brothers in heart, I've owned 30 Mopars through the years, my family has probably owned 50 at least. My Boxer pup is named Mopar! I don't mind people pickin, life's to short to sweat the small stuff! These cars were part of my life 40 odd years ago. Today they would be some of the most desired of the bunch to a Charger guy. I will say this I was told that you guys would be the ones to ask. It would be a shame if these two cars were gone never to be seen again. Take care

Demonram

Hey Lennard, you must have had a bad day. Just chill bud not everyone's out to offend you.

You haven't been here long enough to know what I was talking about. Nothing against you Howard. This forum isn't full of dickheads as Fitz73Chrgr wants you to believe. There are just a couple of arrogant trolls that know how to behave on other forums but somehow feel the need to troll on this one.

I would think that those two Chargers should be fairly easy to find, given how rare they are.  The 69 Charger Registry may have info on the Hemi Charger. I have a white 70 V code Charger R /T,but it is not the same one that you are looking for. There were only 347 automatic V codes and 349 4 speed V codes built in 1970.  I also have a pair of doors from a B3 blue 70 V code Charger R /T that were painted white. The car was parted out, but the VIN decal is still on the drivers side door.  I reported that information to the 70 Charger Registry.  They may have information on the white 70 V code Charger R /T you are looking for.

Demonram

I understand, there are people who feel above others everywhere. Others who are big stuff when there's a phone line between em. You guys and ladies just know, I've had Mopar in my veins ever since I can remember. There is no other auto manufacturer ever who's had a bunch of nuts following them like us. I'd compare us to the Harley bunch on 4 wheels. Take care Mopar to ya!!

Well, I saw it and directed Demonram to make his way over here to post his question. We do have better Charger knowledge after all. ;)

I thank you for directing me here, bud. I'm sure there's a lot of great people on here too. I did go to the 70 directory. Great site, unfortunately I couldn't be sure which white charger it could have been. No specs as to what engines were in them. Didn't bother me, I didn't mind at all looking at 400 Charger pics. There was one that had crager Ss,s on it which it had but with a lot more meat on the rears. Sure brought back memories. Thanks!

Yeah, welcome. Your request is a real longshot but what the heck. Strange things can happen.

Demonram

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Kern, I've seen you on bbodies. I'm on there a few times a week. I'm not a big poster but enjoy it and the information very much. I'm sure this site is just as good and looking forward to enjoying it also. Even though I've got a Sebring plus, it's a Mopar and again it's in my veins. Take care!

Kern Dog

Hello there Demon dude!
Yeah, I am a Charger owner, a Duster is out back too along with a 67 Dart, a 73 Swinger, a 65 Dart and a 65 Valiant convertible. I like them all!
It sure would be great to hear that you found what you need. I love hearing the stories about people finding their car's original engine or transmission, a build sheet, an original owner, etc. Some don't care about that stuff but I think it helps make the hobby more interesting.
