Lower steering column bearing

I ordered one from Year One for my 69.  Tons of slop and the bearings were kind of chunky sounding as well.  I ended up cleaning up and re-greasing the original, much nicer. (also noticed the original uses many more individual ball bearings)

Any other sources for this part or are they all like this? (or did I just get one made on a Friday?)

Not sure if there are more than one manufacturer but I buy them from www.megapartsusa.com never had one like you're describing.

Can you post a picture of the one that Year One is selling?  Have been selling these for years with no complaints other than when we ran out of them and had to find another manufacture to machine the carrier.

I noticed that also  , the new repop had less ball bearings too , think mine come from mancini  from memory  ,

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll post a pic later.

I was able to clean up the original (kept rinsing it out with lacquer thinner).  Greased up and installed and it's 100 times better.
