Hey all,  getting many different answers on this topic.  '74 Charger 360, all stock with original A/C.  I'm looking to remove the A/C and all components.  I've heard some say i need to order all new pulleys and belts, then that I only need to order a belt set from a non A/C 360, and finally I heard that I would only have to notch out one rib on the water pump housing to provide belt clearance after A/C is removed.  Anyone have experience with succesfully doing this, or concrete info?  Any help is appreciated and please don't respond with "just leave it in".  I don't want to!! Ha Ha!!!  Thanks everyone!

Welcome to the board.

In general, A/C positions a lot of the belt-driven components in a different location than non-A/C, so the best advice is to acquire and install all of the non-A/C brackets, pulleys and belts.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Everything wil depend on how correctly you wanna make it.

The correct way would be get the pulleys ( and brackets if is the case ) set.

I have known there is also a pulley and bracket piece emulating the A/C compressor without the compressor drag, replacing the compressor itself.

I can't talk a lot about small blocks thought.

Is it a working A/C, and if so, you gonna be selling it with all the components? Just wondering.

While not cheap, a CVF pulley kit would give you everything you need in one box. I used their kit on my 400 after I just couldn't seem to get the right combination of pulleys to achieve good alignment. Here's their small block kit:

Doing the same thing to my 360.  Only because of the Magnum heads i had replace the LAs and there is a difference to cause the bracket to mount incorrectly.
From what I can see with the non-AC brackets so far is that it matches my current non-AC 360, but then.. i haven't ordered belts yet either.
