Looking for a timing light that will work with MSD Ignition and a Firecore dizzy. Any suggestions?

I have an OTC made one,I think its from the SPX line of tools, and I think it's called a "BLACK LIGHT"
The light is extra bright, its sweet, and has the advance knob on the back of the gun.

I also have an old craftsman, and a chrome 'Penske", all work ok, but I like the OTC's extra bright light it is very easy to see, even in direct sunlight.

I am very surprised they don't have a timing light app, for these i-phone/smart phones, LOL!!!
Good luck with your search!!!

And DAM have times changed, 15 years ago I paid 150-170 bucks for this light off the tool truck.

For $50, I don't think you can go wrong, again, the reason I like it is the brightness of the light.
But any light will work fine I am sure.

Been doing lots of online research, seems none of the dial back lights work with MSD.

If it is easy enough to disable the MSD  and use regular spark ignition  maybe set timing with regular cheap timing light, then re connect the MSD ignition. It may be a way of saving some cash on an MSD timing light.
As long as it is not a PITA to switch the MSD on and off.

Just found this its 100% MSD compatible:

Now for $50 bucks I do not think you will find any cheaper then that.

it works for DIS and points, and gets voltimeter and tach.

I'm not really sure about Multi spark systems thought

Thanks Nacho. I did some more research on that light, an innova rep. said none of their timing lights are compatible with MSD.

oops, well, ok... sorry, didn't have time to check it before post.

The Snap-On timing light works good with MSD boxes and you can pick them up for fairly cheap. Dial back digital.
