Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

heres a link to make it easier in the furture.

see vin decoding.

71VBEE

That is a Superbird VIN.  There are no 440 U-code roadrunners, only V code sixpacks, N code 383 or R code hemis.  Maybe the VIN begins RS23U which would be a GTX.

I agree with 71VBEE.  Only a Superbird would have a U-code 440.  What's unusual is the early serial number.  Lynch Road number 12861 would have a scheduled build date around September 1st.  I believe the earliest Superbirds were built in late October.

KMPX2

Yes there is a  440-4 U-code roadrunner. The White book says there is one car known to exist. So this is it or we have just found a 2nd one !!

DodgeChargerNeeded

Well this is a Superbird VIN I know that, I just wanted to confirm it was a real Superbird and also noticed the early serial number so is this the real deal?

Well we can put that one to bed.
got some fender tag codes for us to gander at?

Really need to see the fender tag.

71VBEE

The fender tag will have info on it to help determine if it is a real Superbird.  The aero warriors website has superbird fender tag info.  They also have a list avalible of all the superbird VINs to check against.  It looks like the known VINs start around 149xxx, making your 112xxx to early for a superbird.

:iagree:

There is one 'Bird listed in the club newsletters with a 142xxx VIN, but 71VBEE is right - the rest start with 149 and go up from there.

Not much to go on right now, but what's there doesn't pass the smell test for me.

DodgeChargerNeeded

Well I'm checking into this for a friend of mine who is supposed to buy this Bird. That is the VIN he gave me but I don't have fender tag info or pictures of the car.
