tach doesn't always work

Hi,

I have a 68 charger, and I bought it already restored. It has the aftermarket/repo tic toc tach, and it works intermittently. The clock is on point though.  Any ideas why? car has only 1500 miles since restoration.

Is it plugged in tightly behind the tach? On mine I had to crimp the connector slightly as it was backing out on its own over bumps, etc. Good luck!
