Hello all,
just bought a set of 15"x8" magnum wheels from YO & the problem is that the inside of the front tyre hits the sway bar.The front end has been completely rebuilt & powder coated. The car has not been set up for toe in &toe out yet,due to no exhaust, but in order to miss the sway bar, when I adjust the ajusting sleeves, the wheels look like they are toeing out slightly.Any ideas.
Thanks Animal.

What is the backspacing on your rims?

-Robert

Animal

Not with the car at the moment.will check later.

Thanks.

Animal

Tyre size is...245x60xR15.  Total backspacing is 5 1/4", measured from inside rim,(face of disc rotor) to inside face of tyre.

Look forward to your replies.

Adam.

You need to talk to Jim Shine on that one, he educated me on this one and I have 15x7's coming.  Warning! Jim had a little damage to his front fender because of this, and that is why his car is riding a little high right now to alleviate the problem(good thing is it looks like it's going real fast all the time, i'm jealous).
Jim, I hope I didn't upset you by saying that, I just didn't want someone else to get bent up.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Can I get hold of some spacers, to go between the rotors & wheels. Or can the car be set up to toe out, without scrubbing tyres & be within manual specs.
Thanks Adam.

be careful, spacers(if they make em') will push it away from the suspension but will make it closer to the sheetmetal. when you're car is sitting and you turn the wheels left and right, i'd be checking clearance, just my :Twocents:

How do you overcome this & what have all the others done?
