I am found a full complete grill (support, pods, plastic) for a 68 Charger I want to purchase.  What is a fair price?

I have check and there does not seem to be a lot for sale. There is one on eBay for  $2500, but it's needs work. At the same time  $2500 seems like a lot for something thst needs complete restoration.

As usual, "fair price" seems to differ whether you're buying or selling. I've never paid $2,500 for one. Nor have I sold one for that much. These things are brittle so warped uppers, missing teeth, missing corners, broken "stop" tabs, etc. should bring down the value. Good trim is a bonus! Good vacuum canisters (68 are unique) as well. It's not terribly hard to find frames if you manage to find all the plastic in good shape for a reasonable price. Be aware that these are also unique to 68 but 69 can work. Usually the little brackets on the lower ends are missing (probably still attached to the fender the grill came off of).

A couple member here sell restored grills.

I may or may not have a bunch of them but haven't tried to price anything in years.

Unless you're trying to be 100% original, I wouldn't pay more than a new one:

Has someone proven that they don't sag? Reports I have seen showed them warped out of the box. New isn't always better. Are they even in stock yet? I only know of people who ordered the first run of the 1969 version and haven't heard of any deliveries since. Maybe I'm out of touch?

Plus, that $999 price is just plastic (excluding headlight bezels). I don't know of any source for frames or vacuum pods. By the time you get all that plus trim you're beyond $1,600.

I have a 68 and a 69 grill from c.i., both mounted in the grill frames and they look awesome. No sagging at all.
If you'd like to see a picture of it, p.m. me an email address or phone number and I'll send it.

I sold a 68 grill with frame and all in near perfect shape for $800
