Hey guys, located in Australia, if you havent already seen my older post about aquiring one over here is super tough and pricey. I was in the market for either a 69 or 68 ideally as the look of them is super neat. I came across a 71 charger here for sale, note the price 65k aussie. doesnt seem to too bad for a car in running and working order. Considering a shell over here or a 68 that needed a full resto goes for 20-35k ive seen, plus a full resto cost.

Honestly though, not to keen on the looks of the chargers after the 70. Just throwing it out there, what do you guys think of this

From the two pictures, it looks like a nice car, but a closer look would clearly be needed and I do not have a gauge of prices in Australia. It sounds however, like you have a strong preference for second generation chargers; so I wouldn't buy it if in the end you will feel like you have missed out.  The decision can wait because others will appear (both 2nd and 3rd generation), and you want to make sure what you buy is what you will truly enjoy.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

#1, it's a 71 & #2, it's a 71. I'd pass.

From the two pictures it's looks very nice, since I like 3rd gens it would be a car I would like to own. Can't comment on the price though.

Troy (hemi68charger)'s old car?

I was thinking the same thing, but IIRC Troy's 71 didn't have a vinyl top?....been some years since I saw it last...if it is Troy's 71 it was indeed a clean car

It's got a replacement '73 style hood on it. :scope:

Chances are very good it contacted a solid object face first at some point in it's existence.  :Twocents:
