Maybe he sold it locally, I've seen that happen a few times..

Or

He didn't like how the bids were heading and bailed ? :scratchchin:

If that is the case(didnt like the way bidding was headed) then that sucks!!!!
That is why they let you put a RESERVE price.
Man I would be pissed if I was winning bidder and he did that to me.
I am sure if someone , cancled on him, AFTER the bidding ended, and they won, he would be upset, and be all" an ebay bid is a legaly binding contract, blah, blah blah......."
I have sold things on ebay, and it sucks to pay the ebay fee's, it sucks paying all of my bills, but then at least you get ebay/paypal protection.

Not that I was a buyer anyway.

A lot of times sellers get a solid offer from a legit buyer and they end the auction early .

Good luck to who ever buys it, hope they just dont do a #'s swap on a 318/383 car.

Agreed, but is it really any different if they have to individually replace every piece of steel on the thing?

IMO you are correct, but for some reason just taking the #'s(rad suport, inner wheel well, trunk lip, and so on) dash(with vin), and drivetrain, and swaping them with a 318/383 car is  considered CHEATING!!!!!
I guess illegal  also, LOL.

But when I think about it, you are correct! If 85%+ of the orignial body, and or parts are gone, does the car still exsist?

Kinda like if a tree falls in a forest...........?
Is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty?
When does a resto, become a rebody?

I see a car like this at a shop and think, "they know what it's worth, or could be worth, yet are selling" Wonder why  :scratch chin:

Probably not enough left to "restore"  :Twocents:

OR

They bought it cheap for $1500
Think they can sell it now for $15000
The most and easy profit to be made is right now
