I agree.

I have to wonder how the RH fender got bent like that.  :o

No fender tag and no build sheet you can say what ever you want the options it may or may not have come with
Be very hard to prove later on after all new parts and paint and would not worth the same as a car with a tag or build sheet

Having restored cars that do not look as bad as that one, I must say, think of all the rust/destroyed areas you don't see!!
Once the 1/4's and fenders are off, all those parts they dont make yet. Plus being hit THAT hard, may be out of wack in areas you dont yet see/ know about.

I wish I had the $ and time  to restore a car like that!!
It was and could be again one bad ass Charger R/T!!!!
I would guess the R/T and fact that its #'s matching is the only reason it is still even around.

Good luck to who ever buys it, hope they just dont do a #'s swap on a 318/383 car.
But it was a very cool car.

After looking at the photos again, I noticed the charger and duster in the shop behind this charger, and then I saw AMD signs in the shop.
If they have a shop that restores Mopars, and deals with AMD enough to have big signs in there shop, and they have decided, "NA I think we will pass on this one".
Should be a clue to hoe difficult this project would/will be.

Not impossible, but WAY out of my price range.
Sometimes that much work can make a full time job out of what used to be a fun hobby!

F8-4life

This car was found in a backyard and presented on the forums a couple years ago.
Not sure what the guy paid but it was something like 1500 or so.

Good eye F8 4-life!!!!!
This forum is great for stuff like that.
I wonder what they have done with it, in that time?
Have they checked the rear seat, for a build sheet?

It is funny because what its worth and what it sells for, should be the same number.(as it is only worth what someone will pay for it)
I bet it sells for much more then it is really worth.
I will be watching this one, just for fun, to see what it sells for.
Still this was a cool car.(I like luggage racks, IDK why, I just do!!!!!)

Just 6T9 CHGR

Only things good left on that car are the steering wheel (looks crack free under the wrap!) and the clock...love how those stay nice & white over time!

The center console doesn't look bad as well as the "R/T" emblem on the grille.........

If that car was bought for $1500 it was fixable because you could buy all new metal for it
Do the frame rails look that bad at the back of the car ??

If it sells on ebay for $15000 just because it is an R/T will make it way harder to justify

Mechanics lien maybe?  Or someone didn't like the shops quote and said the heck with it.

I thought the wiper motor looked alright.  I am not sure the rest of it is worth anything.

How much would that cost to fully restore?

Dano 1

Funny to think about what would have been considered a decent parts car a few years ago is now a "highly desirable" project. I hope for the car's sake that someone with deep pockets brings it back but without a fender tag or build sheet you'll always be fighting to prove that it is what it's claimed to be.

I like it. Fix it structurally underneath & drive it like it is. Okay, maybe replace the right front fender also.

The windshield isn't broken which means the frame isn't bent too badly, and the rear rails appear to be intact. If I really wanted one and was 40 years younger I would buy it.  :yesnod:

It depends on how much work you can do yourself and how far you want to go with it. Obviously a 100 point car at the Mopar Nats will cost a lot more than a nice driver.

I have restored a number of cars over the past 40+ years. I was able to the welding, metal finishing and painting which saved me a bundle and I could rebuild the engine, brakes and suspension too. Transmissions and differentials I always left to the pros as well as upholstery, vinyl tops and glass work. A guess at what it would cost to restore this car without actually seeing it is impossible, but based on prior experience my best guess to make this car a real nice driver would probably run about $40,000 to $60,000.

So what does that mean?
That he canceled the sale?

timmycharger

Maybe he sold it locally, I've seen that happen a few times..

Or

He didn't like how the bids were heading and bailed ? :scratchchin:

No ebay fees if you cancel ad and sell locally ( or after advertising it on ebay that you have one for sale)
