So my 1969 has the B51 code, I thought that was power assist (drum) brakes.
on the broadcast sheet( I think) it has 22 under the spot that says front brakes.

Some sites on the net say B51 is for power disc brakes?
Anyone know what is correct? thanks.

Dino

B51 just means the car came with power brakes. There should be an additional code if it has front discs. B41. If the car had standard brakes you'd have B61.

No clue on the 22 unless it's supposed to be in the radiator section.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

1969 B-body:
B51 = POWER BRAKES (required with B41 disc brakes)

FRONT BRAKE
22 = 10" drums
25 = 11" drums
29 = discs

THANKS GUYS!!!!!

I guess my booster has been changed, because I have the max assist disc brake booster(with a drum master, and drum brakes)

Thanks again.
