Random question - windshield wiper cleaning

Random question of the day, when washing the back window of your suv, how seconds do you do hold the stalk down to ensure the window is clean?

Yep...that is random! I would suggest you hold it on until its clean! Time doesn't enter into it really.

LOL...  living on a dirt road like me, A LONG TIME!!   It's almost pointless though.

For us on a dirt road, 3 seconds? No.  5-6 not unreasonable either. Depends upon so many things:

time of year
the length of time since last time you ran them
resulting from mud vs dust
rain/moisture hardening it up.
wiper blades age

It starts to cake up on the blade and then we have to actually clean the blade/arm with hose and water.  It's an all around PITA.  Living out in the country is a Love/Hate thing for me on so many different things.

I was assuming he was serious until given reason not to.  

In fact after 14yrs with this vehicle it's been such a PITA that the rear window glass is all scored up.
