A pie cut was used to straighten the upper line on the valance.

A pie cut was also made on the quarter just forward of the corner. After...

I bought a new AMD rear bumper for this car....I've been a bit disappointed in it. The yellow tape to show you the profile of the edge, which wanders. It will be powdercoated satin black anyway, so the edge was shaved so it would be straight/parallel with the taillight panel. Compare the gaps between the bumper and taillight panel and you will see the difference

Thanks! I'm really impressed with Zach's work.

Since the wheel tubs were widened and the trunk lid supports were moved, it took a bit of work to align the decklid.

There are always surprise rust areas on any old mopar and this one is no different. The cowl looked rock solid until paint was stripped and some lead was melted out of the cowl to pillar joint. so do yourself a favor and always melt the old lead out of a project. Here is the repair.

Nice job on fixing the rust under the lead! I am curious why you boxed off the cowl venting?

I remember opening the cowl venting and wing windows in my 72 Nova, and WOW did that open up the air through the car!

That's one feature I am looking forward to when I get my Charger finished.

Three reasons...
1. It has Vintage air conditioning so it really doesn't need the cowl vents.
2. Eliminates another area for dirt and debris to collect/rust
3. Will look alot cleaner...it's difficult to get good paint coverage below the vent so that area always looks bad anyway.

Driver's side fender is aligned and pinned (on top and bottom) so it will be super easy to align if removed and reinstalled.

That looks like a good idea!

Right fender has been fitted/gapped. It's also pinned for consistency/minimal effort when removing and reinstalling.

Nice progress...can't recall seeing a Charger with the cowl vent deleted...excited to see it with some color.  Could be one of those things that some people don't even notice without another 2nd Gen nearby.
