Thank you, I tried searching for it, but the search feature is still broken.

You're welcome.

My "trick" for searches using the forum's search tool is to go to the very last search results page.  Troy's got enough things to worry about without fixing this - plus, there are ways to do Google searches for content just on this forum... although I'm not familiar enough with the process to say how well it works from a first-hand perspective.

I think it's this car??? :shruggy:

No, it is not that car.  The attempt has been made a couple of times to make that connection, but there are multiple reasons why it's not the case -- not the least of which is a first-hand observer said the Flood Daytona was V2 Hemi Orange:

Then there's my own observations:

WINGMAN

Well I need to call MR Williams who owned the car and see if I can get the VIN or any other info. it has been over 40+ years and it is vary hard for me to remember details about a car that I had back then, and I bet it is the same for most people. :yesnod:  (Wingman) Jay.

"I found out a bit more information on this car. Here is what was said on the Winged Warriors Facebook:

I bought my Daytona from Richard Williams in Enid OK in 03, He told me that the flood car was his. Mr. Williams owned Sooner auto salvage in Enid for 30+ years, he also told me that he bought the car back from the insurance co and in his words JUST SCRAPED IT OUT, putting the 440 in a wrecker. He also told me that he still had the title for that daytona. Also he told me that the flood daytona was hemi orange and when he bought the one that i have now witch was R4 originally and was black when he bought it, he painted it just like the one that was wrecked. I have all the paper work that MR Williams had for my daytona and he bought in late 73, i also tracked down the original owner of my daytona and spoke with the man. He sold it to MR williams in late 73. I can call MR williams to get more info on this if i want to, i do not think that green daytona was his. JR jAMES. "

WINGMAN

You guys may need a BIG bag of popcorn as I am in no big hurry to car MR Williams, I will get to it not to far down the road.   (Wingman) Jay.

I heard it was a normal 6-pot 69-Charger, so to make it look more interesting that put a Daytona stripe on there!
If you look close there is no wing, no wing holes, no cone, one sided H-PIPE and no windowplug... :smilielol:

Who would WHITEWALLS on a Daytona, come-on lets get REAL here...(insurance jobbie) ::) ::) ::)
