The ad says "posted Oct 25, 2014" so, long gone and 3 year old price.  I wouldn't doubt that it has been flipped for more money or the current owner would not sell it for the price in the ad. :shruggy:

Mytur Binsdirti

The car looks good in pictures, but I'm sure that there would be a fair amount of detailing needed However, considering what else is on the market today, the pricing does seem fair.

Could be.  At least it's not in the same category as some of those in the "delusional" thread.

IMO,
the Saddle Tan interior is a very nice combination on a V88 Black Body/Roof R/T SE, especially with the G11 factory Tinted Glass ? which I think gives a very comfortable/rich feeling to the interior. Sorta like a Luxo-Liner HotRod !
but again here, only "IMO"
because I guess I am somewhat biased being an owner of that factory combination ? I really LIKE it !

As for the $49,000 Price from Oct 25th 2014 ?
3 Years ago on that date the Dow Index was 16,800.
Today the Dow Index is at 26,200.

Just say'in....
if other "traded" asset valuations have risen 56% ? the Charger in the ad may well be priced at $79,000 Today ?

How is the Inflation in Venezuela right now Nacho ?

Can I hate you ? lol... just need to the ghost stripe! To make it look meaner! I think!

Inflation... 2500% last year. Projected 5000% this year. Of course the regime denies that.

Agreed.  above the greatness of RTSEs and glorious barge B-body, your car does have quite a fetching color combo IMO too.  But my X9 cars do not have the saddle interior, very sad.  :rotz: That's OK... like them too.... :icon_smile_big:

I have been watching the market as many of you have on Chargers for a long time.  Bought my first one in 1984.  I cannot recall such an increase in "perceived apparent" value in 2nd Gen Chargers have done in the last 3-5 yrs. :shruggy:

It boggles the mind how a country so rich in Oil like Venezuela, can be collapsing under such crushing hyper-inflation.
Hope you are safe Nacho.

Need to finish my car to move on from here aside to fix some legal stuff due my father death 2 months ago. There is not future right now.

"Enjoyed this image and have a large penis?"  :smilielol:

Nacho, it's terrible that you are having to deal with what's happening in your country today. I can't even imagine how it must be to survive there, during the past year or more. I hope you will be able to get out of there soon, I think I recall you saying a while ago that you wanted to move to Spain?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Are you sure you wanna get cocky about another country's inflation problems?

Read about how over-printed the US dollar has gotten in the last 30-40 years.  We haven't seen the huge inflation (yet) because we've been exporting it (abusing the dollar's reserve currency status).

And what pray tell is the root cause of that country's inflation?    ::)

Take a few minutes and google these 4 topics to learn something....

Venezuela inflation explained

food, toilet paper, electricity shortage in Venezuela

Venezuela toilet paper black market

Challenger340

I think it's important to recognize that although the initial reasons for Venezuela's "money printing" may have been different, with obviously very tragic results, money printing might be nonetheless still  money printing ?

2008 U.S. Money supply $891 Billion, today in 2018(10 years later) almost $4 Trillion !

2008 U.S. national Debt 9.7 Trillion, today in 2018(10 years later), almost $21 Trillion !

And as I said earlier in this thread about the R/T SE being fairly priced at $49K back in Oct 2014 when the DOW Index was at 16,800, and now 3 and a bit years later at 26,200, a gain of 56% in 3 years ?
or,
that if that particular R/T SE was advertised FOR SALE TODAY at $74,600 ? ($49K X 1.56), nobody would really notice as delusional ?

My point being, I think the Inflation "genie" may already be out of the bottle even in the U.S., just a somewhat slower motion train wreck ?

Blimey!..Don't feel so bad about my (admittedly little) countries debt now....a mere $2.61 trillion (£1.83 trillion) !
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

The USA's debt looks so big now because the dollars are so cheap now.  We were racking up tons of debt decades ago too, the charts just looked smaller.  Remember how much worse it was to owe somebody $100 a few decades ago?

QuoteAnd what pray tell is the root cause of that country's inflation?    Roll Eyes

Socialist govt mismanagement of the (expensive and difficult) oilfields.  I don't dispute that.  Not enough of the profits were reinvested into the continued operations.  Artificial peaks in profit lead to artificial valleys.

I'm just saying the USA has no room to point fingers about over-printing currency.  We've been doing the 'artificial peak' thing for decades.  It doesn't seem as severe because most of the US public hasn't gotten any of the additional wealth in decades.  It has remained concentrated in a few places.

For what it's worth, sorry Nacho.  I hate to see a longtime member and nice guy having hard times.   :'(
