It's probably numbers matching! Plenty of people that will pay up for that.

Obviously, it's a post car.

And it's loaded with plastic.

My eyes are drawn to the shape of the rear of the rear deck lid. :scratchchin:
Maybe it's just the angle and lighting that makes it look wrong.

This is something that could get interesting when dealing with an insurance company and trying to get "whole" again

JR

That car belongs to Elana from Roadkill.

Mike Musto shot a short clip at her place where this car is stored, and they said it was a fully done, nice driving car up until the accident. She bought it as is from the guy who built/totaled it.

Real shame.

opening bid $5K no-reserve, drivetrain & front clip are almost worth that - NO?

lots of trinkets too - if it was a restored driver a few years ago  :scratchchin:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Fred

I'm sure that cat would be happy to pay the $10000.  The rear window deck looks extremely comfortable!

Auction ended, did not sell.  Not even a single bid.

:buff: not.

I'm amazed the rear window didn't shatter.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Not where I live it isn't. A 383 4bbl, non-console 23 spline trans, 8 3/4 rear. The bell housing is likely the most expensive piece. I'd imagine that's $1,200-1,500 total around here if you're lucky. The hood might be ok and that would seem to be valuable. The driver'e fender has a decent dent in front but they're no different than regular Satellite fenders so not really worth fixing. That car has a lot of rust and paint issues which seem like they'd be before the crash - unless it was crashed immediately after the "restoration" then has deteriorated in the 15 years since.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Aero426

I think if you had a '68 shell, and you wanted all those trinkets and trim that add up, plus the drivetrain, it's probably not far off at 5k.  But that seems like all the money.    Not a lot of upside other than the one stop shopping aspect.    That is also assuming the drivetrain is undamaged.    That thing took a shot.

JR

I agree, if you had a 68-69 shell to build, this would be a quick and easy way to build it. A lot of the hard to find small pieces are here, along with a running drivetrain.

I'd guess 5k also. I wonder why the orignal builder/owner didn't do that.
