i was at the little carlisle show in jefferson WI today and was shocked to see a lot of mopar stuff selling for insane prices (so i think) this is an all weekend show (starts at 1 friday) and by 11am today (saturday) every good project that i saw in the swap area was sold with the exception of a 74 duster body that was from cali. even a lot of completely "parts cars" were selling at primo $$$ parts are pretty crazy too 340 dual snorkle air cleaner housings were in the $200 range, but i did see one that wasnt bad for $150. any 8.75 case with junk gears (2.76 3.23) were selling in the $50 to $75 range, and if you want a good unit with a posi ya better be ready to give your first born an $500..i guess i mabey hadnt ben watching these prices the last few years (2 or 3) but it seems like the prices have gotten out of hand on this stuff.

on a side note , i saw a recent "resto" 71 bee for sale $28000. 383 4 speed car, but im kinda confused. shuldnt a 71 bee have ralley tail lights and a dual cutout valance?? might post this question in another post cuz it bothered me (i was sitting by a friends stuff and i could see the back of the car). it was a really cool really well done car and i would be proud to own it. they said it was all # matching but i wonder if it had a light rear end hit at some point.

The 71 bee would only have the "Rallye-R/T-500" tail lights If it had the colored bumper option.

Dual exhaust chrome extensions were optional except in California.

The last Charger I have owned was twentyish years ago. I recently picked up a 1973 rolling shell (more or less ) and the prices are just blowing me away. I'm stuck in the eighties when it comes to the values of cars and parts.

The operative word was "selling".....if parts or cars are "selling" then the prices are not insane......just more expensive than you are willing, or able, to pay. No one said it was everyone's god given right to own a classic car.  :horse:

i dont argue that, but it makes me sick that people with a bunch of money and no intention of ever driving or working on there cars are jacking up the price for people who i believe really do deserve to have and enjoy them. i dont have a problem with somebody who is doing well buying cars to work on and enjoy. i just hate the 1:1 model collectors

mabey i shulda ben a chebby lover i could sell my duster an charger for enough to buy a nicely restored chevelle   :icon_smile_dissapprove:

People have been trying to get $500 for alleged good "sure grip" third members for the last several years.   I don't think this is a recent occurence.  I could be wrong.
