Seller has very limited feedback (1 negative, 1 positive) yet has 215 cars listed.  Seems strange. 
Only know there was a car like this in Massachusetts a few years ago, not sure if it is this car

Looks to be a very nicely done Charger.

But relative to it's history, the VIN # is XP29G9B116730
meaning,
originally it was a base Charger, 383 2 Barrel, Automatic.

Assess the $66,900 asking price therein as you see fit.

It is up for sale locally also from some new classic car place that has opened up about 20 mins from my house. I have not gone over there to check any of their cars out yet. All way over priced from everything I have them see advertising. So, that has kept me from going to look since it is nothing I can afford.

Very nice.....but Im pretty sure the film car had a black engine bay....you can see it after it's crunched.....going to have to go and check now....been a while since I saw it! Doh!

Edit...not had time to look at film on net yet....but my bought model of the DMCL car had a black bay. I'd like to think they would get something like that right!

Seems to me that I recall when the diecast was being made, they went with a black engine on the model just out of specualtion.  The rationale being that the two guys were hot rodders and not brand loyal, the Charger wasn't painted a non stock color and it was popular at one time to paint engine bays black like a GM so it seemed a reasonable thing the two characters might do.
That said, I should watch the film again as well as you could be right about it being visible after they crunch it.
