I knew it was going to be that car :D

That's a friend of mine, Kevin.  Beautiful car, he did an awesome job on all the little hidden details  :2thumbs:

Seeing that car around is what inspired me to get my 68.

Very cool!  I especially love the console mods.  Lots of creativity in that build.  Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful car. I want to do a lot of the same mods again like that to another 68-70 Charger but leave the exterior & interior with whatever patina it has. My old 68 Charger had a built 440 but the engine looked like a 150,000+ mile engine with NOS all hidden within rubber hoses, bottle underneath the back seat, MSD box, shift light tach in the glove box. the OEM windshield washer pisser bottle tubing was routed for the VHT for the rear tires. The brake lights were wired on a toggle switch to stay on. If someone was dumb enough to give me a car or the leave and was watching my taillights I would already be on the move & gone before they knew I was moving.

Real SWEET!

We have done the same with my friends 512ci 1966 Dodge Polara. (440 block)
We tried running through the HP exhaust manifolds but it ate the gaskets and cooked the heads.
So he 'bit the bullet' and went TTI headers and Edelbrock heads.
Runs twelves straight outta the box... :2thumbs:

Very nice car with a great job of hiding all the "extras".  :2thumbs:  The only thing that drives me absolutely nuts is the giant a$$ gold zinc chevy looking power brake booster.  :eek2: But I don't like that on ANY of these old Mopars so whatever.  Still, great car!

There is another member here (MrCharger or something like that, I'm getting old) who has a 68 that's got a bunch of subtle mods but it looks like a stock 68 R/T 4spd. I saw it out in Detroit and was just drooling over it. Can't find any info on it though... my search fu is F-U today I guess.

I like the reverse offset rear wheels.
Only real "complaint" is that cheap looking trans cooler with rubber lines...(I had a bad experience with one of those when I was younger (hose blew & left me stranded) other than that I like the build.  Kudos to the owner!

Doesn't make it any less cool :)

I had a sleeper 70 Malibu that was in Car Craft.  It still surprised people on the street on a daily basis.

Very nice...I'd always wanted to do something with the rear center vent in the console...came out great with the bottom hinge.

Speaking of consoles and hinges...is the center console hinge supposed to lock in place to hold the door upright?!

All these years I have owned my Charger it just flops back down...typically requires a strategically positioned elbow to keep it open.  I've never really kept tabs on it, just assumed all console lids were like that.  I think my only other experience was in a buddy's 69 Superbee and his was the same way.  I'm extremely interested now to know how it is supposed to be...If it is just an "open and hold it up design" his is much improved.  If that is the factory design it will be one of those "oooh" moments, lol...sort of like realizing there were rear carpet sill plates.
