And technically unsellable for the road. Someone has already grabbed the VIN tag and the fender tag and they're driving around somewhere on a fresh shell !  :yesnod:

F8-4life

I remember this car from around 5 yrs ago.
If memory serves, it may have been from this site or carsinbarns but the story went like...this car along with a few other mopar b bodys being pulled out of a storage yard.
I think it was bought for like 5k or so originally, then went through ebay afterwards and left the radar.
It looked the excat same back then along with the missing vin/documentation.

My personal opinion is he can keep the car, I just want his extra R/t grills!

been a few threads on this car , &  also when it was on Ebay , & other selling sites  :scratchchin:    cant find the other threads as of yet  :scratchchin:
think story went it was stolen , back in 70s ,  stripped of  its  hemi & a 440 fitted , & put back on the road , then sat many years , as (F8-4life ) above mentioned ,

Also the title that comes with the car matches the body stampings...big red flag. No vin tag

DAY CLONA

Well it's not a throw a way car, just needs a new identity, trust me I know a few guys that have collections of VINs/fender tags/BS/etc from long parted cars that they're just waiting to recreate

VegasCharger

IF the seller is claiming that the title matches the body stampings then he/she is wrong. 1968 had the S.O. number for the body stampings and NOT the VIN number.

Just my 2¢

Yeap.. There is no real way to connect the title and body in this situation... What a shame.. If he has the broadcast sheet or data tag, it would be viable. One can get a new VIN through the proper State DMV process probably....
