Dave, the site looks great as always! I don't know if this is bad or good, but every poll I vote in, my team wins. I doubt my vote for the 6pack 'vert will beat the '71 Hemi, but we'll see.  :yesnod:

As far as the issue being sold out?... I got one in my free grab bag at a show today, along with a Jegs catalog. Maybe I'll ebay it?

ps- How can I be mopar of the month over there? Do you accept U.S. dollar bribes?  :icon_smile_wink:

Beep Beep Dave

Do I know you Chris ;)
I recall a guy on Moparts goes by Burntout70R/T  :icon_smile_big: Nice guy  :yesnod:
As for Mopar of the Month...that USD just ain't what it use to be...maybe a certain white wine from a Southern France vinyard? ::) ::) ::)
I'd be honoured to have your fine Canadian Charger R/T on my site!!! Send me a bunch of pics!

Burntout...I bet that took a lot of thought.  My 5 year old little girl could have come up with something better.  Of course she answers questions when asked  ;D

I remember those cars Dave from back when I used to converse with GG.  He used to send me colored sheets of paper with cars for sale that he had checked out.  I didn't know any of them were his.  I think back then, 12-15 years IIRC, they wanted less than $15k for your Car of the Month.  I remember there for about a year, the most expensive crumpled wing car was the $15k one.  There were about a half dozen of them.  The packrat I am, I saved all that paperwork, but I don't want to drudge up old memories when I was lookiing for a wingcar and passed up too many that were affordable to me so I've left them in their lost state.  :'(

It's gonna cost you to put that Burnt Orange beauty up for COTM.
I'll send you a cheap bottle of Oregon wine and you can change out the labels before you give it to him.  :icon_smile_big:

Chris G.

You guys are gonna miss me over there, that's for sure.  ;D BTW, did you know your can't delete you account over there? He won't even do it for you. I guess you need those inflated numbers to keep the sponsors. What other reason is there, especially when someone asks to be removed?

Anyway, I'm sending Hang 10 info to you Dave. Your cars of the month are some high end Mopars. I dare you to slap a 318 1974 A-Body in that league. I can hear Dave queezing from here.  :icon_smile_wink:

That would be great if you could scan a couple of those old ads...I'd really love to add it to that Daytona page...its just such a cool story!
BTW I didn't come up with the BURNTOUT70R/T name...I think Chris living in New Jersey is punishment enough :yesnod:

I am a high end kinda guy  :icon_smile_wink: So far I have only had 8 Mopars of the Month...usually I just put the car on there that really catches my attention or has a neat story behind it!...My website of the Month though is a different thing altogether...it doesn't seem to be too hard to crack that list :pity:

Oh heck no Dave, that wasn't meant towards you.  I know who made it up...so I'll just leave it at that. :icon_smile_wink:

I know those lists are still in existence around here.  I don't throw anything away, my prolbem is I think the paperwork is up in my attic in the garage.

Dave, the owner contacted me about a year and a half ago when he bought that car from the US and I helped him with decoding the car and with resto questions. We traded e-mails on and off but then I lost contact with him. He is in Montreal. After this the 70 Charger Registry found a road test in September 1970 Super Stock Magazine and I believe it was his car in the article!! His car was a Y28 Public Relations car and the options (some very rare.....and in combination even rarer still) all match up. I've been trying to contact him to let him know about his cars possible pedigree. I have his full name and and old sympatico address but no luck contacting him again.

Well honestly I don't know if I want to drop his name.It has been about 6 to 8  years since this happened.I don't really want to make myself sick all over again! But I might drop his first name when I can find the paperwork. When this stuff happened I had to get a Canadian attorney,Becuase the guy lived in Canada I needed to have someone up there do some investigating for me.I did not have any money becuase I had paid this guy all I had!We even had a written and signed contract(vin#and all!)ANYWHO...we talked to him 1 to 2 months about this car and also talked with customs on what to do to bring the car over. The guy said he had a friend and that he would bring it for me,....I waited, and waited days turned to weeks,he stopped answering his phone. This ticked me off! :icon_smile_angry:He had my money! :flame:
So I called my Canadian attorney, they tracked him down,he even came with his lawyer to my attorney's office so we could have a conference call.........(I was still in the states I couldn't afford to go up there!)He started paying me back through my lawyer(he did not have a choice I had all the evidence to prove him guilty. :yesnod:)Becuase he was paying me back through my lawyer the firm would take there money off the top and send me the difference! :-\They were at one time going to make me a creditor to him so in other words he could not move buy a car,etc until he paid me back in full. :icon_smile_sleepy:
The kicker to all this is last year or so the car was for sale on EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I knew it was my car becuase the pics that he sent me of the car years ago was the same pics used in the auction! :rotz: :icon_smile_dissapprove: :icon_smile_angry: :flame:
He told me along with my lawyer that the car burned up in a garage fire!(I really am not making this stuff up!)My lawyer told me that the was a story of a garage fire at his house printed in the local paper. We did not beleive that the car was in there however, but that is what he told us!!! :icon_smile_dissapprove:
The Bee is a factory 383 /auto/purple car that someone had painted orange(the engine bay,etc still showed purple.)I beleive it had white interior. It was also suppose to come with a slew of parts including some N.O.S stuff all listed in the contract as well.
I just pulled the paperwork out His first name is Chris,He lived in Thunder Bay Ontario the vin for the Bee is WM23N1A194775.
Looking at the dates this happened in 99'.71 b bodies back then could still be gotten for prettty good deals.I paid $2400.00 U.S at the time for the car.I still have the Certified check as well with all previous documents about our deal and the car! :'(
I took me FOREVER to get over the situation. The 71 Bee was one of my favorite mopars and it would have been my first B body. :rotz:
