The tag has a code BS2.  Was this car actually a vinyl roof to start, then painted in later life?  Or is it a true factory two-tone paint?

yup in 69 it changed to V02 my 69 Road runner high School car was a factory (TWO TONE)  painted roof car  , Very rare option

That AM/FM stereo was a more expensive option than the 727 transmission, something like $250 in 1968. What does that translate to in 2017 money??

the AM/FM (mono) wasn't a factory available OPTION in a '68 B-body, but it was available out of the "dealer accessory catalog"

the unit in the above GTX is from a '69 & they were $134.95 (AM/FM mono)

AM/FM stereo wasn't available from the factory in a B-body until the 1971 model year
