I remember the segment but I hope the "Dodge Charger" they are referring to isn't the 'new' Charger.   ???

The "original airdate" of the Top Gear show you mention is today, but the Top Gear segment with the '68 Charger was taped a few years ago!

EDIT: I stand corrected...GLADLY!  The Brits have good taste!

The guy who did the test drive, Richard Hammond, also bought himself a 69 Charger after that episode, but he had to sell it later cause he is so short he couldn't see over the dash... :icon_smile_big: I don't know if thats the truth.. but it could be...

The Ghoul

watching it as we speak. nothing like insomnia and cable re-runs
*edit*
im watching the tall guy trying to get into the old school gt40.. bwahahahah its great!! the car comes up to his hip...
I would much rather have the old gt40 than the ford gt. I just love the lines and the history there. i dont care if the gt handles better is faster and all that Id just rather have the old one.
*nother edit*
just saw the spot.
I am laughing like crazy a bunch of brits trying to make sence of a car twice as big as there used to and yet being so undeniably sexy.
i loved the comment about the 'vague stearing' that made me smile.
I think he sold it because it is twice as big as any thing else on the road there.... um... i should say that its twice as big as the road there.
I personaly liked the champaing and white 68 he drove on the story rather than the sublime green and black 69 he actually bought.

I missed the episode but I've got the clip on the puter at home anyway.... they were showing top gear all night tho.   I was trying to watch Earl inbetween trying to catch Stacy Keibler dancing.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
