Hello all,
Greetings from Bristol England. Looking for some advice regarding the front suspension mounts on my very rusty 69 charger. The brackets that the upper control arms attach to are very rusty/weak and require either extensive repair or replacement, but the damper turrets they are welded to are OK. I see that AMD sell new front turrets complete with the brackets, I could get those, but its a lot of spot welds to drill out etc. I was about to start drilling and grinding to get turrets out, but started wondering what you guys do e.g. can I get the brackets separately. Any advice appreciated.
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark, welcome!

First of all make sure the turrets are undamaged behind the brackets or it will just make more sense to replace the whole thing. Alternatively look for good used parts; a wanted ad here on this site might get you what you need.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Hello, thanks for the reply. Looks like corrosion is limited to the mounting points that retain the cam bolts. I prefer to keep as much 69 metal in it as possible so I'll ask AMD if they can supply the brackets separately, if not I'll try to get the turret out.
Cheers,
Mark
