Charger clock

I upgraded to a tic toc tach a while ago. I hate looking at the old clock on my bench, has anyone ever made a nice desk clock out of their unused dash clock? It works fine.

Make a wood housing for it and feed it with a 9 volts batt... or 12 volts transformer

I have a transformer already, i was just wondering if anyone had done this and had any pointers. Electrical i can handle, woodworking not so much.

Use an old piece of instrument cluster. Cut it right next to the clock and close the cut end off. Paint the rest and you'll have a great looking desk clock!
