the strip on each side of this windows are missing (well actually only one is but the other one is not attached completely) so i am guessing i need to replace these before attempting installing. It that the weather strip and would this be sold separately? who is a good supplier for these strips?

these pictures were borrowed and are not my actual window.

Is there a competition to see who can "start the most threads in one month" that no one has told me about ?.........................

They mylar runs are available as reproductions, but they are a bit more difficult to work with.  The Chrysler mylar run was available up until mid summer and to my knowledge have been discontinued and are bringing top dollar.  They were expensive even when they were available and since going NS1 have pretty much doubled in price.  If you use the reproductions, I would suggest using your old plastic guides or file the reproductions down so they do not hang up.  Be very careful as I have seen people selling the reproductions as OEM, I would not purchase unless they are still in the unopened sleeves.
The quarter glass seals are available from either Metro or Soft Seal.  Both are of similar quality, but we prefer the Soft Seal for this application as the formed ends are a bit more correct.
