It's rough! But it looks as though someone is willing to pay over 7K for it. I hope someone buys and restores it, but glad it's not going to be me.

I'm betting it will bring 11k. We should just start a thread betting on eBay sales

Sounds like a fun winter thread, place your bets.

That is a darn shame, poor car.
Mopar forever!

Thats it right here.

I am sure this guy has been asked for the last 30 years if he would sell the car.  But since he was going "to fix it up" one day he never sold it.  Now that he is 80 and knows he will never do anything with it it has rotted into a worthless piece of $#!*.

7k+ He still made money just letting it rot.

The general consensus on this fleabay car seems to be that it's a complete rust bucket, but when someone announces here that they bought a car in similar condition, it's hailed as a great find & "saving another one from the crusher".

Not trying to start an argument, but what's with the double standard?  :shruggy:

The original paint & ghost strip may be helping the bids, it distracts the veiwer from the piles of rust chunks.

My guess is that a lot of the "great save" cars found have the typical rust areas. Lower quarters, trunk pan, rear window, etc. Not cheap, but easily and often replaced.

Problem I see with this one is it's current state of dissolve..... I mean, with the floors and frame rails and cross members gone, add to that, even the lip of the truck lid and under the hood are evaporating on this one. Where do you start hanging metal on this one? I'd bet the inner rockers are as solid as the floors. To me, this is a complete parts car with a nice VIN...... (insert argument about re-body here)

That being said, I have seen a few on here trying to save them from conditions similar to this, and I guess all you can say is good luck!

I see speakers cut into the kick panels so I wouldn't consider it all original... :P

Happy Christmas Charger Folks.

This is a well optioned R/T in the best color in my book!
If I was in the US of A I would be buying these wonderful Chargers and doing a full 'bodywork' rebuild then selling them on for personal resto. :pity: :pity: :pity: :pity:
Its a service that puts another rare iconic Charger back on the road.
It won't be long and these pinnacle R/T Mopars will be touching $100,000 in tip top condition.

We always say the initial cost of buying a wreck is lost, after that the real money gets spent on resto.

Yep you ain't gonna get rich doing resto, but it better that watching overpaid sportsmen/woman pretending to play SPORT!!! :smilielol:
The biggest waste of time and money in MY BOOK. :slap:

Come on Dynacorn, get them B-Bodys rolling out soon before we all go ELECTRIC JamJars!!!

Early build R/T radiators?
My friend has this style 'round top' radiator in his 68 R/T.
