Turquoise, tan interior, white top, 383 4bbl auto, column shift.  It's un-molested and 100%complete minus radio. It even has the bumper jack, original air cleaner and hub caps. Goal for this one is make run and drive, pound out the quarter, cut door skin off, straighten out then weld back on to retain its patina look. I think I'm gonna use it to pull my open trailer with my roadrace charger on it. Ratty pulling ratty...I'll be the cool guy on the highway that day

funknut

Neat car, I love how the patina is different on each side.

Very cool!

Kern Dog

That guy has some interesting cars in the lot. It would be fun just to walk around and check them all out.

Bronzedodge

I'll second that.  Looks like a 59 Plymouth to the right in the last pic?  Like to know what is in that.
Mopar forever!

That is a 57 Dodge Coronet Club Coupe, most likely with a 325.

Kern Dog

Urban NEGRO slang for a worn out, undesireable car that most would be embarrassed to be seen driving.
Not really accurate in this case but I see the irony in the title.

Lol, I'm in vegas full of yuppies in high end cars. A rusty old car is something they walk around and afraid to touch

Nice Charger!

Now there's patina and there is rust!
Where does one start and the other stop...?  :scratchchin:

I get Welderup 'patina' trucks and really old cars like Model T's.
I even got the Welderup BLUE-COLLAR 69 Charger too.

But in my book, rust is rust... :D
If iron rust was bright green or blue it would be coolio, but dirty brown... :slap:

Now THERE is an acceptable 4x4 Charger.  That thing is amazing.

Know I'm in a big minority here, but that patina is the basis for so many patina paint jobs, light blue and rust brown, that I'd consider it providential.

As a fellow Brit I here you....but don't necessarily agree! The patina type rust they get in the hot states is often caused by sun and sand destroying the paint leaving a light surface rusting. The rust we get comes from the inside and causes holes. Quite different cause and result.

However painting a car to look like patina.....well ......imo you can not get much more naff than that. A guy near me imported a nice old 50s step side truck with nice patina....then he clear coated it to preserve it...nearly as naff. We don't live in a country where patina like that happens so it looks out of place.

Cbrest's one at the top looks great....or will do without the dents!....
