Turquoise, tan interior, white top, 383 4bbl auto, column shift.  It's un-molested and 100%complete minus radio. It even has the bumper jack, original air cleaner and hub caps. Goal for this one is make run and drive, pound out the quarter, cut door skin off, straighten out then weld back on to retain its patina look. I think I'm gonna use it to pull my open trailer with my roadrace charger on it. Ratty pulling ratty...I'll be the cool guy on the highway that day

funknut

Neat car, I love how the patina is different on each side.

Very cool!

Kern Dog

That guy has some interesting cars in the lot. It would be fun just to walk around and check them all out.

Bronzedodge

I'll second that.  Looks like a 59 Plymouth to the right in the last pic?  Like to know what is in that.
Mopar forever!

That is a 57 Dodge Coronet Club Coupe, most likely with a 325.

Kern Dog

Urban NEGRO slang for a worn out, undesireable car that most would be embarrassed to be seen driving.
Not really accurate in this case but I see the irony in the title.

Lol, I'm in vegas full of yuppies in high end cars. A rusty old car is something they walk around and afraid to touch

Nice Charger!

Now there's patina and there is rust!
Where does one start and the other stop...?  :scratchchin:

I get Welderup 'patina' trucks and really old cars like Model T's.
I even got the Welderup BLUE-COLLAR 69 Charger too.

But in my book, rust is rust... :D
If iron rust was bright green or blue it would be coolio, but dirty brown... :slap:

Know I'm in a big minority here, but that patina is the basis for so many patina paint jobs, light blue and rust brown, that I'd consider it providential.

As a fellow Brit I here you....but don't necessarily agree! The patina type rust they get in the hot states is often caused by sun and sand destroying the paint leaving a light surface rusting. The rust we get comes from the inside and causes holes. Quite different cause and result.

However painting a car to look like patina.....well ......imo you can not get much more naff than that. A guy near me imported a nice old 50s step side truck with nice patina....then he clear coated it to preserve it...nearly as naff. We don't live in a country where patina like that happens so it looks out of place.

Cbrest's one at the top looks great....or will do without the dents!....

What an odd combo on that car. My car was born Q5 with black interior but no top, now its flat black. Not many Q5 cars, and with the tan interior, man that just strikes me as odd. Great find as usual. was this one close to home?

Naff=hoopty when it comes to cars! :slap:

My wife's friend refused to let her park her nearly new Lada on her drive as she thought it was NAFF!
When the wall came down in 1989 the Ruskies were all over the UK Lada's and wanted them all back...
Paid well over the current price for them, at that time! :scratchchin:

Ruskies don't think Lada's are NAFF...one step up from a reindeer/sleigh... :shruggy:

Stamets is a respected mycologist, and he's talking about the largest organism on the planet found thus far--a honey mushroom--and the possible architect of our existence, key to which is the s*** we ate coming down out of the trees. Sit at a red light when there's no traffic and you might wonder how all those extincted massive stars came to such a ridiculous end. Read KD and wonder what possible evolutionary advantage there could be to him, i.e., just how much more s*** do I need to eat? Well, we all talk s*** but sometimes there's useful stuff in it. Sometimes not so much. And I'm reminded that supernovae aside, Darwinian evolution has had more dead ends than there are stars in the galaxy, and we're certainly one of them. Cuz I just can't see nature/the cosmos stoppin at a red light forever, or at a species which came from a fungus so that it could eat other fungi that came outa the ass of other animals just to develop the language that KD manages. At least 30k years ago they managed to paint some decent caves.

I suppose Folks are a bit uneasy with the Hoopty concept?

You may think its a cool ride but others will think/say Hoopty... :scratchchin:

Admitting your ride is a Hoopty before others do is an oxymoron I believe?
Its like giving yourself a nickname, it just ain't right... :shruggy:

So what Folks are trying to say CB is, a 69 Charger is NOT a HOOPTY and never will be...(especially in my book)

Must be a u.k. thing. I don't have a nickname and call my '68 Charger a hooptie often, because that's what it was for the past 15 years I've owned it. Here you can call yourself and/or your car whatever you want and just don't give a f#ck about other people's opinion.

Its difficult understanding how non Mopar Folks feel about Mopars, as I LOVE all MOPARS!

If someone who owns a Mopar in the UK called my Charger a Hoopty, I would be seriously worried about them!
Thats the sort of talk you get from Chev/Ford Folks who are just plain jealous... :slap:
It happened to me once with my mint 65 Dart GT, Chevy guys were giving her the HOOPTY JIVE... :shruggy:

God forgive them, as they know not what they do.

Merry Christmas everyone, I'm saying that now as it will be banned next year... :icon_smile_blackeye:

gonna do video's everytime i work on this car. im forcing myself to leave it mostly stock and run a tall rear gear so i can just have a cool ratty cruiser for the freeway on trips or a fun get around town car. im gonna leave it buddy seat column shift to keep it on track for just a cruiser. 1st video is just kinda introduction to the car, 2nd will be the cleaning her out and so on.  kind of a barn find to burnouts timeline
