I am in the process of reassembling my car, and need to confirm if my negative battery cable had orange paint on it?

I also need to confirm where it is connected on the engine. I have been looking through my old pictures and of course don't have a good image of where the cable connected on the engine.

Thanks

Lawrence

Pictures attached.

From what I've seen the cable was there when the engines were painted, but I like detail and not factory tremclad look when it comes to some stuff. All depends what you're going for, "correct" or "correct to YOUR liking".  :yesnod:

Thanks Chris that is an excellent picture of just what I was looking for. I did notice a cable support clamp on the back of the compressor. Do you recall where you bought that? I don't think I have that. Second question. I am missing both of tubular support braces. I have looked high and dry and idea where to get those?

Thanks for the help!

Yes the support tubes are hard to come by.  Took me a while to get them as they are one year/big block only.  Same as the hoses.  The battery cable clamp I believe I sourced used as well.  Its just a plastic coated U-shaped clamp that gets bolted to the rear compressor bracket.  I know the carb spring mount is reproduced...
