Cowl to engine grounding strap 69 RT

I put my K member in the car yesterday WAHOOO Noticed I did not have any engine paint overspray on the cowl to engine ground strap. Was that attached to the engine when it was painted? I have noticed cars online that show this strap painted like the battery cable. I have the battery cable painted.

Yes
the body ground cable was on the engine when it went into the car. so some over spray will be on it
