Amd or golden star?

It looks like AMD panels are hit-and-miss I'm sure all aftermarket panels are that way but has anybody used golden star. I can't find any feedback or ratings on them   the price is 100 to $200 difference with AMD costing more. I need to do fenders Hood door skins both quarters and tail light panel on a 69 Charger.

Golden Star was a wholesaler for the last 10-15 yrs mostly selling to Goodmark and Sherman and recently started re-selling through Jegs.
I talked with a guy there and he said ALL the non-American made aftermarkets come from the same place in China. Now Troy stated he thinks Goodmark and Sherman are identical but AMD looks different but that may just be whoever sent the specs over. Any who...

I bought my full floor replacement from Golden Star saving almost 150.00 I'm close to getting around to fitting it but heres a link to a photo of the floor pan. Looks as OEM as any of them but from what Ive read on this form almost all have some sort of finagling you'll have to do.

I have used Sherman twice, once for rear seat well and second for drive side front seat will. Both were close but had to be massaged in, but considering this was a 40+ yo car and is a unibody, I thought the fit was great.

Can look up my resto thread. Not sure if amd fixed the door skins but the c scallops were like 2 inchs too long.

Test fitted Golden Star floor pan this weekend. It was a very good fit. Now this is the first Golden Star part I have purchased so I cannot speculate on the Rear Quarter Skins.

Thanks for the update on the floor pans I really appreciate that I think I will give them a try the only thing I noticed different from them and AMD is that AMD has the mounts for bucket seats already attached to the floor pan

I think that reinforcement can be home made anyway... or even removed from original and attached to the replacement

Well there is a bit a work to do on it. Shifter hole is not cut out. Council Mounting brackets and shifter brackets will need to be cut off old pan and added to new also but thats fairly trivial stuff.

AMD full floor didnt come with console brackets either. Shifter linkage hole was though.

the price of the cheaper... makes to think on that and make the balance on what is better for each one. If you have the skills and tooling to do it ( or somebody to help ), that is a minor detail

You are correct Nacho I have no fabrication skills or tools so getting as much as OEM is big thing. But I also realized I had to learn how to weld if I was going to attempt a resto. Your crazy to even try if you arent willing to learn some new things. I practiced and practiced and then built my own rotisserie giving me enough confidence to do the minor metal work etc that may be required.
As one guy stated on here "There isn't anything you cant do with a cutting torch and welder!"

and the skills or the chance to damage anything without pay an eye for it when trying and learning

that's were the Golden star piece could be a better option.... or not

Floorpans should not already come with console brackets because some cars didn't have them.  Bench seats.  Fold-down buddy seats.
