Found Buildsheet

Want to post this of the big event in the life of my 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. This site and forum has reunited my car with its original buildsheet that has been away from my car for almost 48 years. About 3 weeks ago I logged in and noticed a posting about a missing but found buildsheet for a Daytona sold in Victoria B. C Canada. I had not been in the forum for awhile so I could of missed the posting. Reading it the last 6 digits of a serial number was mentioned and being sort of slow absorbing the information it hit me that it was my car's serial number.

Now the story of my car history has changed. From a previous owner he said the original owner had stripped the interior and put the buildsheet in a file. It was never found and the original owner is long gone. But Mark from Texas said he had this for awhile and thought of trying to reunite it. Well he did just that and it is with the car once more. And the sheet proves really what options my car has which was basically nothing. No console, manual drum brakes, 4 speed, no radio, no light package, no tinted glass is what I mean.

So it is possible the story where wrong backseats were put into cars once the Daytona conversion was done is probably true. The Dayona/Superbird hobby is still strong even though the production of our cars were low. Helping each other out and reuniting parts or papers for our cars shows a strong group.

Once again thanks Mark. Let's all help our fellow wingmen and wingladies.
