Hello,

I have problem with the shifter. If i want shfit from P to R or D I can't !! . It stuck on Park . What is the problem???
My car 1969 charger and 727 Automatic . Some times it shfit great from P to R or D

Sounds like either the linkage is bound up due to being out of adjustment or there is an issue with the parking pawl inside the transmission. I would start with verifying the linkage is adjusted properly.

Could be the release button on the shifter handle isn't releasing the pawl in Park. When it's stuck, try pushing the button harder.

Is the car parked on a steep grade?  This can bind the parking brake mechanism.

Disconnect the shift rod from the transmission shirt lever. Dose the shifter work properly now?

Just dont do that while parked on the hill...

Yea, what Coonhunter said, do this on level ground and chock the wheels if there is a chance the car will roll when out of park.
