QuoteMake it work for the most part like a modern car? Sure. Take on even a 10 year old Corvette on a back road? I'm not interested in that much frustration

The pro-touring world has demonstrated that you can make a 50yo car compete with a modern Corvette.

But they do it by basically turning the old car into a modern Corvette under the skin.   Aluminum LS motor, 6spd tranny, C5 suspension, multi-piston calipers, rack steering, 18" wheels, etc.

Hahaha. Yup, but it would be way cheaper and easier to just buy the old Corvette.

Typical shop line: "We wanted to make something incredibly unique and spared no expense in custom parts to ensure we got it right. I mean, just the custom unobtanium lug nuts we hired SpaceX to design and build were $35K.
The LS motor? Oh, we chose it because theyre cheap and plentiful".
