I believe that this car was for sale a couple months ago.

Pictures are lacking in quality for a car of this pedigree.

So other than the 4 wheel disc brakes, fresh engine paint, new exhaust system, new gas tank, new suspension and all new upholstery,  it's a great "survivor".    I'll say it's a very nice unrestored car.   But hardly unmessed with.    Probably more cosmetic work done that has not been disclosed.

It looks like half of the interior is green and half is black. I'm assuming that everything that they replaced they did in black...
1968 Charger R/T, matching numbers 440/727, black with green top and interior, currently getting restored by me

That VIN tag looks strange....The large space between the X and the S is odd.

Agreed.

Looks like a nice car.
However I agree, photos do not help it and when things look odd.  They probably are is my guess.

I think I see older paint maybe, but do not have not a single door ding or anything at all down the side seems amazing.

Other items I think I see.... is motor paint is way to fresh looking and so is truck floor.  Good wear mark on driver door I think feels good but driver door pocket looks repop to me.  The vinyl top has fold line like it was done sometime after 1990 or more recently (made that date up).  The couple original tops I have seen do not show that line(s).  Steering wheel spokes are awful silver and not brushed stainless plating look.  windshield bottle is white, alternator looks new.  Radiator sticker looks nice and really crisp.  New chrome wheel.  New exhaust. Lots would concern me if buying as a "survivor" imo.  I do not see it.  If looking for good car, looks pretty solid if photos provided....

Didn't all 68 Chargers have the ribbed chrome console top plates?  :shruggy:

triple_green

that car is a dead ringer for mine, except that mine is an H code. Yes all the 68s had the ribbed chrome console top.
