So I was curious, and drive by where a Charger R/T has sat for over 20 years. Sure enough, still there.

Nice enough guy, even spoke with him again... He's got plans, and isn't selling them... He's got a Challenger 383+4 speed, right beside. Same place, still.  :shruggy:

So, after 20 years, I doubt they will ever be "restored" or fixed up. At least the driveway is paved - was gravel, 20 years ago...   :Twocents:

I do have time on my side, and better health, based on outward appearances. Thanks,

Next time you go over, offer him a gift certificate to a decent restaurant in the area and give him your business card and/or contact info as a token of appreciation for taking time to chat to you about the car.....

Maybe bring a box with shampoo, bars of soap, deodorant and some rubbers. Tell him with the $$$ from selling the car, he can afford to meet a woman. Take him to a strip bar and buy his a few lap dances.

I think getting him hooked on meth or cocaine is a good idea too, then he'll have to sell the car to support his drug habit!  :2thumbs:

Really, You are jumping on me for this? YOU PM me who knows how many times as if you are a "friend", then decide to point out a single typo?
With the way that YOU make mistakes, it is best to hold off such criticism until your skills are at least on par with those you choose to pick on.

Not that I care about the Challenger, but thought it was a 1971 383 4 speed. Definitely a manual trans

If this were me, I would pursue this car until you at least mildly annoy the owner.
Or if its in Ohio tell me were it is. Ha

1972-74 Challenger is what it is, and I would take it! The one under the car cover, get some more pics please.

Read it again..the OP said the Charger is parked beside the Challenger....unless it's me not concentrating! Would not surprise me after the day at work I've just finished!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

I don't get it/understand.  :shruggy:

The new guy was a bit confused, didn't notice the car under the cover, next to the Challenger.  ACIDANUT is correct, it is a 72-74.  No big blocks available in Challengers after 71, although it could be a 340 or 360 4 speed.
Mopar forever!

Here's to hoping either he restores it (I stored mine from 1987 to 2013 and ultimately got to it), or you get it.

BUT I have to admit that my absolute favorite part of the thread is the discourse on spelling. And in a good way.  I appreciate acudanut's keen eye toward spelling and dread the day I leave a typo.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....
