Classic movie, aaaaaah yeeaahhhhh, did you get the memo?
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

The best thing about MCG is the cars they cover and the new product information. They put a lot of effort into shooting odballs as well as the desireables.  However, slutty cover girls and free t-shirts won't bring me back.

The main thing that led me to cancell was the holier-than-thou column by Mr. Guru which pointlessly rambles in every direction, is written at the 6th grade level, and occasionally used to point personnal attacks at individuals he has disagreements with. Sometimes interesting information, but incredibly painful to read. I lost all respect for that mag and the editor whan they continued to print that drivel month after month. It's unbelieveable that the editor allows that crap to get into final print. The information can be interesting, but for love of Pete, get him a ghost-writer !! The photo that was used early on of the clown antenae ball or whatever in place of Govier's actual photo was 100% appropriate.

Whoever writes the Enviromasichism column is completely off his rocker, redeemed only by the fact that it's quite entertaining.

I have 10 or so years worth back from a year or so after Goviers column was added. I'm about to toss them. If anyone wants back-issues, PM me.

:iagree:

I actually went and bought this issue because of OM's mention of the Katrina cars article.     That wasn't worth the price after all was said and done.    There's a few new product articles that may be useful from time to time but I don't bother with half the mag because of the junk classifieds.
Yes,  I like slutty chicks and I like T-shirts but I don't want to promote things I don't believe in either.

I kinda figure it like this...   MCG is for people that like "collecting" cars - just like the title.   There's almost no tech in the mag and that's what I want.   If that's somebodies deal,  good for them.   Well... I collect a few 1/18 diecast cars and they sit on the shelf just like they're supposed to but I don't need a magazine for it.

Gawd I miss the old Chrysler Power mag....It could get preachy at times, but the articles were entertaining and it was geared towards the garage hobbyist.

Incidentally, the new Mopar Muscle has an excellent article on bying a Dart Sport and getting it running for under 800 bucks...THAT'S the kind of thing we need more of.

I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.
