A lot of the most critical guys on here would NEVER dare post their cars on here. Always been that way.

Not true with this guy right here. Of course, I'm not like the others.

I for one love the Pantera. Let's be honest, that's probably how they would have made it look these days.

Not too sure about the others, but I've seen worse for sure....

And when it comes to factory original, that's not really for me either. I could care less about what a guy at a car show thinks of my car, it'll never be there. My car has fuel injection in it's future, and maybe even a Silversport A41, you know, a 4L60E by another name(still not sure how I feel about that one)..... The only reason my car will resemble a stocker is because that's the look I like. Sure 17 inch rolling stock will drive better, but I love the look of 15 inch steelies, so that's what she's got. This car is a fun cruiser. I will never attempt to make a  sports car out of it, as it never was one, plus I already have a sports car. Looking to a 47 year old relic with performance visions seems a little silly to me. Fast in a straight line is probably all she'll ever be, and hopefully stop with no drama more than 3 times in a row.

I've got no hate for people who modernize their cars, and I only prefer they look stock, because that's what I like, not what I feel it has to be.

Good looking, nice color too.

Ive just barely heard of them. I think Ive seen pics of the Pantera before( no idea where though )

Although Im not really into much mods of that magnitude. I can certainly appreciate the effort they require thats for sure.
Although Ive slowly backed  away from the date coded valve stem style cars and lately begun to admire more into clean simple , nice drivers. Even some with modern power trains and convenience options are starting to tickle my fancy.

Ive begun the research process of looking for my next driver. First and for-most it has to be a reliable driver. Look good, drive good ,  sound good and no squeaks or rattles . Preferably with ac blowing cold on my face( if not Vintage Air  will get a call from me ) . And most of all , pretty close to if not DONE and ready to drive when I sign the ck over.

This next one will be hand picked  to ck off all my boxes if I can . My wife's opinion matters just as much as mine.
Its Probably going to be a 66 or 67 Plymouth B body. Ive never had one, but have driven several and these cars are comfortable,  look good and are super easy to see out of . And still reasonably priced. Especially compared to anything 68 or newer .

Hey, My 70 Charger is easy to see out of compared to the Wife's 2015 Challenger. That car has huge blind spots!

VegasCharger

I went down to the Las Vegas strip today to meet up with friends in from out of town. And let me tell you I got caught in the SEMA traffic. What a freakin' madhouse. I didn't see that coming.

I just don't get why that show is so big. Everyone oohing and ahhing over it. Too rich for my blood as I would be outta place. Plus I don't have a connection to get in. And quite frankly I wouldn't want one, too much drama for my liking.

Don't all modern cars these days?

But I've got to say my 1970 Cuda is equally as bad.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Kern Dog

I had a 73 Challenger years ago. It was no pleasure to back up or to merge into traffic.  The Charger seems to have a bigger C pillar but still is easier to drive.

Fred

Exactly. I have no problem with the Charger only the Cuda. I need a co pilot/navigator with me in that........another pair of eyes.  :yesnod:
Having the steering on the left plus driving left makes it a little tricky in traffic.

I just saw the video of this car, it's beautiful! I love it!

Im hoping the owner puts some official pics here soon. The quality of the build appears to be phenomenal, as one would expect from the Ring Brothers.

This is what it takes to get people to like the big wheels? They have to be steel with a hubcap?
Those wheels are easily 20" or larger. I have heard the purists bitch about the big wheel trend for 15 years or more. All this time, a guy could have silenced them by doing it this way ?

JB400

It didn't make me desire them.  Looks out of proportion. :eek2:  Hubcaps are too big and bulky.

cokertire offers oversized steel wheels that accept smaller hubcaps, i was thinking of going that route with my lx 68 car  :scratchchin: i dont like the offset on the front of the ringbrothers charger, but the back looks ok

JR

Yup, I'm pretty sure that's it.

It looks like alot of care was taken to minimize offense to the Mopar purists, (good thinking considering all the smack talk earlier in this thread before we even saw the car ::)), but I LOVE it.

I've wanted to see these guys build a Charger forever. And they delivered.

I am suprised they didn't use HRE wheels like they usually do, (I would have preferred those if it were me) but overall, it's great.

Also, this maybe the best restomod Charger interior I've ever seen.

Those are 19' wheels front and rear. 345 wide tire in the back. Custom made by HRE.

I just posted a video in seperate thread.

VegasCharger

No way!!! Horrible!!! Shortening the rear quarters, moving the front wheels forward, their stupid RB brand name emblems instead of R/T emblems, the hideous oversized wheels and frisbee sized hub caps.

Puke city!!! Another one destroyed. Ring Bros. please stay away from MoPaR and stick to the millions of Mustangs and Camaros that are out there.

:puke: :puke:

The only good part is that it wasn't a 68 that got destroyed.

Lennard

I'll just say that it's not my cup of tea. Specifically the filled in rear valance corner seams, huge wheels and the green color.
But it's silentD's car, so if he's happy with it...that's all that matters.

Just 6T9 CHGR

I kinda like it.  Not "over the top" at all in my opinion & they kept it classy.  I like the trick dog dish caps with the Fratzog thumb screw holding them on.  Nice job

Come on man..that's another guys pride and joy. It's hardly "destroyed" compared to lots of what's out there. Would you rather see it sat down the side of some guys house with a tarp over it, slowly decomposing because it's going to be restored up factory spec "one day". Because that is the real fate of a lot of Chargers. It's saved, hopefully will be driven a lot and is still clearly a Charger -unlike a lots of custom house efforts that change the lines too much. Is not 100% my cup of Darjeeling either but each to there own. You won't like mine as some others won't...but I will be pissed of if someone said it makes them want to puke!

Lol, I don't like "big wheels" because they're form over function. But I'm obviously not talking about going up to 17" for better handling or tire selection, or even going up to 18" to clear big brakes. Those are easily identifiable as legitimate performance upgrades. But putting 20" boat anchors with rubber band tires over 11" rotors is not a performance upgrade. It's fashion, and makes it handle worse. Sure it takes away side to side wander, but it adds noise, vibration, and harshness, and increases unsprung weight. The exact opposite of performance. And looking through that glass, looks silly. But the fashion trend even creeps into the performance realm. I had a Gallardo with 19" wheels front and back. The back was fine, but the front tire was a rubber band that had limited tire choices and had less than stellar handling characteristics. The real annoying part was the fact that an 18" front wheel from an R8 would clear the 8 piston calipers...... no reason to have a 19" front wheel except to have a 19" front wheel.  :slap:

I decided to go with 15" steelies because I love the look, and have no performance dreams about the Charger. That being admitted, if I actually wanted mine to handle, there would be a set of  17" wheels on the car, possible a 17/18 combo. But again I digress of the thought of trying to make a sports car out of a 50 year old marshmallow. Make it work for the most part like a modern car? Sure. Take on even a 10 year old Corvette on a back road? I'm not interested in that much frustration.  :Twocents:

The pro-touring world has demonstrated that you can make a 50yo car compete with a modern Corvette.

But they do it by basically turning the old car into a modern Corvette under the skin.   Aluminum LS motor, 6spd tranny, C5 suspension, multi-piston calipers, rack steering, 18" wheels, etc.
