Hmmmm, a purposely vague picture of a green '69 Charger with no wipers and a JC Whitney mirror....what is there to get excited about?

Lennard

I think they stole that side mirror off a 70s Cadillac.  :eek2:

HEY !! Vegas and Stuart got the joke! Alright !!! :2thumbs:

In case anyone isn't familiar with the Ring Brother's work, here are some of their other builds.

These guys are out of Wisconsin, and are know for their phenomenal quality, and numerous one off parts they create in house for every build.

I'm excited to see their take on a classic Charger.

That DeTomaso Pantera is awesome! The Mustang/Camaro are nice cars as well but not a fan of that Chevelle at all.

You guys!...what are you like? Anything vaguely modded..or with wheels over 15 inches....out comes the hate. You are so going to not like my car! Lol!
The Pantera is a work of art ..would love that in my garage. I don't think you should do the vomit thing...they might not be to your taste (or mine in the case of the Chevelle) but there is no denying the skill of the creation or the art that had resulted from that skill. I don't like Country music (in fact I hate it) but I would never say that it's crap or vomit inducing and the creators of the music obviously have skills I never will and Country music is loved by millions (of mostly Americans!...lol). All those cars are great creations....just not to everyone's taste. It would be a pretty boring world if we all had the same taste and liked the same stuff.

Ring Brothers do nice car, least people with very deep pockets think so.
I currently drive a Mustang 03 Cobra, but of the group, the Mustang Retro Mod is the bottom of the my list.
Now this is the true car to worship:

Aaaaaannnnnndddd, bam.

This thread is a reminder why I haven't been to a Mopar only show since 2005.  :icon_smile_big:

I'd happily take the 69 in discussion. It's going to be awesome.

Hey guys...there is enough room and respect in the world to allow for more than ONE style of "restoration/Resto-mod".
I appreciate the fanatical spirit needed to restore a car to 100% OEM correctness, but that has not been as interesting to me as a strong running, reliable driver.  I never got into cars to please others, I did it for myself. I like to drive my cars without worry of decreasing its value...Value, that doesn't mean much to me either. I like the car, I love the styling, the sounds, the feel of it all. If I had huge money, sure, I'd own a trailer queen but I'd also own several bad ass drivers as well.
Alfa: I'm sure that your spirit is strong enough to do what YOU want without worrying what anyone else thinks. Personally, I respect a man that is confident enough to do his own thing. The guys that first ran 16", then 17" wheels while everyone else was content with Rallyes and 15s, The ones that built clone/tribute cars , etc.

alfaitalia

I bet no one on here ever did a factory correct resto.....much as they would like to think they have. Cars in the 60s and 70s were terribly built....both in the USA and other places (and before you say the UK was as bad as anywhere ....thanks to the lack of investment, government ownership and the unions striking every five minutes!).
How many of the "factory spec Day One restos" have paint runs all over the place (especially inside panel, in trunk, in door jams) how many have terrible panel gaps, paint so dry that its rough enough to sharpen things on (mainly in hidden areas). Trims fitted in slightly different places one side of the car to the other. Seals with different finishing points one side to the other, paint twice as thick one side of the rear axle to the other....etc etc etc. My untouched but rusty 69 had all those things.....if your factory resto does not...THEN ITS NOT FACTORY CORRECT! You are building what SHOULD have left the factory....not what did.
I could never afford to do a Day one resto so full respect to those that have the time and money to do it.....finding all that date correct NOS must be a pain and getting more impossible by the day. But your cars are not correct unless you find a mint survivor .....so since my car is never going to be original.....why not make it wildly different....im building it for me after all! I will admit to loving the original shape...so I wont be changing any body panels (just slightly rolled fender edges that you cant see without looking under)...so that should please some of you!!!....oh and a big hole in the hood!! :2thumbs:

There have always been cars built as art.....just to show what is possible.....long may it continue. I'm amazed some Ring cars are drivable with the wheels being so close to the fenders!

A lot of the most critical guys on here would NEVER dare post their cars on here. Always been that way. A guy with a Pacer picken about somebodies choice of lug nuts on a car that the owner spends all their time and money on. I don't even think some of them have a charger. Or it is a rusted out base model sitting outside that will never get worked on.

Not true with this guy right here. Of course, I'm not like the others.    :icon_smile_big:
