Recently I put up a post questioning pulley/bracket setups with a Classic Auto Air conversion I'm planning to do for my '68 Charger.
Props to Kern Dog for hooking me up with a crank & water pump pulley. He really took the time to send me detailed photos, measurements, etc of several pulleys he had, to make sure they were ones I needed.
BLK 68 R/T also went out of his way & sent me many pictures of his CAA setup with the stock pulleys. Gave me great info, too.

With all the posts you sometimes see of other members getting screwed, it's much nicer to see people get recognized for the good things they do for others.
Cheers guys, and thank you!!!

He kept me in mind for some manifolds I had asked about and made me a good deal down the road, after deciding which set he was keeping.

Props to both guys! :2thumbs:
After being screwed for $200 by an "old timer" on this forum last year,  I decided to not buy or sell here anymore.

That sucks dude.

bill440rt

I've gotten screwed before as well, not on here but on Moparts. Turns out I wasn't the only one, either. Not a good feeling.

Still on the hunt for a dual-groove alternator pulley to complete the puzzle.  :scope:

Btw, you're one of the good guys as well Bill. Many years ago I bought a radiator and other parts from you and the deal went smoothly and the parts were great!  :2thumbs:

Good job Kern Dog & BLK 68 R/T  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

Don't kid yourself Bill, you have provided tons of helpful info yourself in past threads. Good karma meets good karma.

I have had one bad deal in here, not from buying a part but for sending out a part for repair service.

Are looking for a specific date code? Core? I have about 3 of these but uncertain of date codes or where to look for date codes on them.

Kern Dog

I told Bill that if I had 2 or 3 of what he needed, I'd give them to him for the cost of shipping. He is adding a factory appearing A/C pulley setup and needed OEM stuff. I have collected all sorts of stuff for years and I too want to add A/C to my car. He is helping me out as much as I helped him....I now know what pulleys to use for my own setup if I decide to use a 4 groove crank pulley. I might try to juggle things and use a 3 groove crank pulley to simplify the arrangement since factory correctness isn't that important to me.
None of us will live forever. I figure if I have a bunch of parts that I may never use but someone else needs, why not help out? I've given away slant six parts for this very reason. Who hasn't?
I think that Bill is looking for a specific sized alternator pulley. The A/C puts an additional demand on the system,  especially the aftermarket kits that are fully electric VS the stock setup that is electric and vacuum operated. The smaller alternator pulley helps charge faster. I had a single groove pulley in the size he needed but not a 2 groove.
Good luck Bill and thank you for the kudos!   :2thumbs:

Thanks guys.
I do agree, karma is very much alive. What goes around comes around. I'm glad I can help out too when I can.

Vegas, date code is irrelevant in this case. Just need one a certain diameter that works. The single groove pulley that's on it now is 2-11/16" in diameter, I believe the 2-groove should be the same.
If nothing pops up, Bouchillion carries them so I can always place an order there. The other pulleys are tougher to find but luckily now that's covered thanks to Kern Dog.

Amen Bill!   Agree on karma 100%!!   Been screwed a few times myself.

Nice to see something positive on the site.  :2thumbs:

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

I just measured my double groove alt. and it's approximately 2-5/8" diameter. It could be 2-11/16" but my old eyes seen 2-5/8". Removed from a '68 B Body with A/C. And actually worked at the time my parts car was a complete running car before I parted it out. '68 Coronet 4 door.

Props to Kern Dog & BLK 68 R/T, you guys are awesome!  :2thumbs:

Remember don't deal with Lennard, unless you want to deal with the shipping companies.

Sometimes we do things because we hope to see the same good deeds returned someday, sometimes we do them as a stand alone gesture.
I figure that with as many people as I have annoyed with my various quirks, I need to balance things out some way.

XH29N0G

You balance things very well.  :2thumbs: I never know what to expect, but I know that your have helped me and others and I appreciate it.
Now if we can only keep a thread intended to recognize you and BLK 68 R/T for doing good deeds from being locked.  That would be a cruel twist of fate.

Bill thanked me personally and I'd guess the other guy as well. That was enough for me but this is nice too.   :2thumbs:

I have learned so much stuff from this forum from many different members. I enjoy helping others out where I can. The good intention of this post derailed in a trainwreck quite a few posts back. With that said, I will echo what Kern Dog said, and also say thanks for the "kudos" Bill. Glad I could help you out with pictures and information from my setup
