Well, I brought the '68 home today and have some money to save and some things to do before it gets painted. I think I'm going to try replacing the texture on the inner quarter panels and maybe doing the seam caulking myself. I need to find some way to save some money without screwing things up and the only way to do that is with the do-it-yourself attitude. I like the look of the black epoxy, it makes it look like the Blade Charger. All the rust is gone and it's 99% straight so I'm one step closer to... something.

:icon_smile_approve: One last pic of the Charger plus the shop owner's Bird and a couple Cudas for your viewing pleasure. And here's a stupid video I made: http://www.imagecabin.com/?view=1146783818b82b2a5dece12390f55e770fc0060447

Wow, look how nice-n-straight that car is! :drool5:
Congrats Bull, that's gotta feel pretty good to have it done that far. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Car looks great Bull!  I am sure you must be pumped.

There are a ton of things you can do yourself prior to painting.   :yesnod:

Although they may be tedious and time consuming, they still need to be done and can be fun.

When I got mine, the body & paint was already done.

My Wife asks why the list of items to come off the car is larger than the list of items to go onto the car.   :image_294343:

I rebuilt my rear differential.
Restored my grille.
I am currently restoring the heater box.
I already did my exhaust system.

There is so much more but as of now I am done for the night.  I will try and think of more on Friday.

Congrats.  It sure must be nice to have her home in that state.

Original non-vinyl top, black interior, TT1 green exterior '68 Charger with the rare 383/2bbl/4spd combination, one of 74. The only options it has are power steering, Am radio, rear seat speaker, a console and hood mounted turn signals. It will be returned to original except for it will have a black exterior instead of green and a few upgrades such as front disc brakes, electronic ignition, dual X-pipe exhaust and two HP manifolds instead of one. There will be other upgrades too but I can't think of any right now.

Yes it is exciting to have it home but it's also a bit overwhelming to try to figure out what to do first. I'm sure I'll think of something. ;D
