An impossible question to answer on the internet really, but...    how firm is the foam in the center fold down armrest originally?  The foam in mine seems too soft just going by memory of past cars with one but how do you really remember or gauge something like that?

I don't know the answer to your question Shaun, but I've been wondering the same thing about Legendary's replacement foam for the seats.

Just for grins I went out to the garage to look at my old buddy seat, probably original.   Tried a few tests to show how firm mine are. 

Pic #1  set an 8" block of 4x4 on the cushion.
Pic #2 set 1 gallon of water on it.  pretty firm support.  Weight is spread over a large area.
Pic #3  push down with one finger and only the weight of my arm.
Pic #4 push down pretty hard with all my fingers and as a lot of muscle 

I know it's not scientific but that's all I got.  My cushion seems pretty comfortable,  not hard and not squishy (another scientific term    )
