What is the difference between torque boxes on a hemi car compared to a non-hemi car? ???

A non-Hemi car doesn't have torque boxes.

I hate to sound stupid, but I thought the torque box held the torsion bar.  I guess I'm wrong could you please explain.

Torque boxes were put in to strengthen the car. 2 in the front portion of the car near the torsion bar crossmembers and 2 in front of the leaf spring front hangers. I think Hemis got them as well as convertibles.

it wasn`t just Hemi cars that had them , 440 4 spd & 6 pack cars had them as well
