Torque boxes thickness

What's the thickness of the sheetmetal to be used to make the torque boxes! I'll be making these locally

Just guessing, but I would go with 10-12 gauge or even 1/8".  They are small pieces so the actual gauge matters less, you just need to go something really stout.  The thing is that they are connected to metal that may be less than you choose so reduced benefit.  You reach a point that the torque boxes don't bend but the metal they are attached to do.

We used US Car Tool boxes and they're 1/8"

We'll be trying to replicate the US Car Tool boxes... they seem to be easy to make. Will be plasma cut and Mig welded

I'm searching an image of the rear torquebox without subframe attached and can't find it... I'm not adding subframes just torque boxes
